For this hands on project, I was tasked with creating instructions for how to make something. The only restriction was that no text could be included, so I had to give every detail graphically.
To create engaging graphics, I decided I wanted to make something colorful and striking, and I decided that cut paper would be the perfect medium to do so. To invite color, I selected a fruity mixed drink as my subject. I browsed Pinterest for some inspiration, sketched out the concept, and planned the paper colors I would buy.
Here's my moodboard:
The next step was to painstakingly cut out every element and tape them together (I didn't have glue). Then I photographed each step with my home made studio. You can see these steps below.
The final step was to brighten up my photos and edit out a few spots, and arrange them into the final composition. You can check out the individual photos as well as the final composition (I wanted it to look a bit like a strip of film). Maybe you can even try out the recipe!
